I am a 40+ year-old woman who wishes to return to teaching after being home with her three wonderful children for 14 years. I naively once thought that I’d just get a teaching job when my youngest was in kindergarten. I have come to realize, however, that although I have the license to teach, I do not have the updated skills to do so effectively. Consequently, I am enrolled in a program at Meredith College which will bring me up-to-date on current teaching practices. This blog has been created as an assignment for one of the classes in this program, Creativity. I look forward to sharing my reflections on this class.
